About Me
I have been involved in the communications business one way or another for most of my life. I have 22 years' experience of working in the TV industry, some of it alongside postgraduate study in
philosophy and theology, which are both writing-intensive disciplines.
In the course of this study it was helpful to revise my language skills, and this involved me in the study of both Latin and Greek, thereby sharpening my grammar skills.
My doctoral dissertation was published by Ashgate in 2006. I have also published in scholarly journals.
In addition, I have been involved in communications' teams for a number of voluntary organizations. I am currently chairman of the Communications Group at my Church, which involves writing
for the local media, as well as presentation of activities through websites and Facebook pages. I also manage websites for other groups.
In addition to my writing, I have been copy-editing since the mid-1990s. In the last few years this has expanded substantially. I have copy-edited four non-fiction books, and numerous
term papers, dissertations and dissertation proposals. Many of these were written by people whose first language is not English.
